Prematurity

 

In Virginia infants that born prematurely may automatically be eligible for early intervention services.  The following are the criteria:

• Have a diagnosis of periventricular leukomalacia

• Were born at a gestational age of less than or equal to 28 weeks, and/or

• Experienced a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit stay of greater than or equal to 28 days.
